Working in partnership with Fusion Lifestyle and South Hams District Council, we launched Youth Nights at the Dartmouth Leisure Centre on Friday 14th January 2022. Over 40 young people turned up and enjoyed a free Roller Disco run by Whiz Kids. Each month, we welcome over 80 young people for a night of fun!
Join us every second Friday of the month at Dartmouth Leisure Centre
Parkour is an athletic training discipline or sport in which practitioners attempt to get from point A to point B in the fastest and most efficient way possible, without assisting equipment and often while performing artistic-gymnastic manoeuvres.
We're lucky enough to have some expert teachers to show you the basics and teach you how to safely get from A to B with style!
Monthly sessions at Dartmouth Leisure Centre.
TRAIN OF LIGHTS
In December 2022, with thanks to Dartmouth Steam Railway and Apollo IT, we took 30 kids on the Train of Lights from Paignton to Kingswear and back again! The coach driver even agreed to stop at McDonald's on the way back! This was our first outing and a great way for finish off a super launch year.
In the summer, The Paddle Shack have kindly offered to take us paddleboarding again on the River Dart! Standup paddleboarding (SUP) is a great way to explore hidden beaches and get close to nature. Bring on the summer!
Dartmouth Yacht Club kindly took us dinghy sailing last summer. Hopefully they will do the same again this year... They provide all the equipment and teaching so we can just turn up, and possibly be prepared to get wet!
Want to shoot some hoops? We reckon this event is going to be a slam dunk! We're bringing some basketball coaches to Dartmouth Leisure Centre for an evening of skills, drills and play time! It doesn't matter if you've never played before, or perhaps you're a secret pro, everyone is welcome to join in.
Note: this is currently on hold but there are weekly sessions at the Leisure Centre being run by Jez on Mondays and Thursdays.
